Somebody who travels often has solved the big problems and none of the small ones. They own luggage. They do not own the thing they buy at the airport for four times the price, every single time, because it is not worth remembering.

That is the whole opening. A travel adapter is the clearest example on earth of a purchase people make repeatedly and never keep, and a good one with enough sockets ends the cycle permanently.
