The one who trains at home

Equipment that has to be put away, because that decides whether it is still in use in a month.

Training at home fails for one reason, and it is not motivation. It is that the equipment lives in the middle of the room, and a room somebody else also uses wins that argument by about week three.

So the useful filter is whether the thing can be put away, which is why resistance bands outlast almost everything else bought with more enthusiasm. They go in a drawer, and a drawer is the difference between equipment and clutter.

A kettlebell is the honest middle. One object, most of the movements, and it stands in a corner without looking like a gym. An adjustable dumbbell makes the same argument at the price of being one thing rather than eight.

Then the floor. A yoga mat is the thing that makes a hard floor usable, and a foam roller is what people buy after the first month rather than before, which makes it a good gift precisely because they have not got there yet.

Below, from the weight to the floor. Everything here rolls up or stands in a corner.
