Digitization of Civil Registry Records in Offices in the DRC

This book by MUSHAGALUSA NKUMBARHI Dieudonné focuses on the design of a web application for managing civil registry records (marriage, birth, death, divorce) for the Civil Registry Office of Irhambi Katana, DRC. Recognizing that manual management is prone to fraud (such as double marriages), delays, and the loss of records, the author develops a solution in PHP/MySQL using the UML method and the 2TUP process. The application enables the registration and verification of records, the sending of notifications to users, the generation of statistics, and the automatic printing of documents, with a multilingual interface for citizens who are not familiar with French. The thesis is structured into four chapters: an overview of the study context, an analysis of functional and non-functional requirements, system design using UML diagrams, and finally, implementation and a presentation of the interface. The author concludes that the objectives have been met and suggests, as future directions, the addition of online payment and requests for birth certificates.
