Homegrown

Homegrown traces how a neglected family field became a Portnoo market garden using natural, sustainable, chemical-free methods. Homegrown is the inspiring story of how Donegal grower Barrie Quinn transformed a neglected family field into Portnoo Market Garden a thriving, small-scale haven that produces exceptional quality fruits and vegetables using natural, sustainable and chemical-free methods. Alongside his personal story, Barrie offers an accessible guide to growing your own food the regenerative way, no matter the size of your space. Barrie's message is clear: healthy soil is essential to create healthy people, and reconnecting with where our food comes from is one of the most important steps we can take for our health, the planet and our communities. His journey from novice gardener to one of Ireland's most recognised regenerative growers has inspired thousands of people to join the movement to fix our broken food system and learn how they too can take back control of the food they eat.
