The Ash Moon of Morne Blême

The Ash Moon of Morne Blême By Brinda Phokeerdass In the shadow of Morne Blême, nothing stays buried. When Kiara uncovers an ancient obsidian pendant beneath the roots of a haunted banyan, she awakens more than whispers: she awakens the Souffle Morts — spirits of the enslaved who once chose damnation over oblivion. Bound by ancestral blood and hunted by visions of stitched mouths and black sand, Kiara and the scarred newcomer Yannick must unravel a centuries-old pact forged in fury and grief. As the ash moon rises over cursed cane fields and a mountain that remembers, Kiara discovers that some promises were made not to save the living — but to keep the dead silent. A chilling blend of folklore, history, and supernatural horror, The Ash Moon of Morne Blême asks: what happens when memory itself demands a sacrifice?
