The Uncommon Monk

This riveting and action-packed autobiography, remarkable for its honesty and candor, makes irresistible reading. People like to read about the adventures of others, particularly of those who venture out on a limb with no safety net. You will find this autobiography a pleasure to read. Swami Abhedananda’s - aka Arjuna Schulenburg - anecdotes remind us of our common humanity, presenting readily identifiable slices of life. Instructive with over forty years experience of gurus and ashrams he also exposes cult like behavior with skeptic directness. His disillusioning experience and waking up out of many years of ashram life, and his revealing stories are enlightening to an extraordinary degree to anyone on the spiritual path without haven’t built a wall around for further growth.
