It's Just a Hop, Skip, and a Jump to the Madhouse

Addiction, madness, and survival-laid bare in verse. It's Just a Hop, Skip, and a Jump to the Madhouse is Thomas W. Case's unflinching collection of confessional poetry exploring addiction, memory, and the fragile moments of clarity that surface through chaos. These poems come from the edge of experience-where reflection and collapse often share the same space. With raw, direct language and a voice shaped by lived experience, Case writes through nights of desperation, barrooms as confessionals, and the quiet aftermath of damage. The writing is stripped down, honest, and emotionally immediate. For readers drawn to gritty confessional poetry, addiction and recovery themes, and contemporary American verse, this collection delivers intensity without decoration and truth without restraint.Perfect for readers of Charles Bukowski and the tradition of raw, uncompromising literary poetry.
