China and Glass

From glasses and bowls, to serving dishes and ornamental pieces, we use china and glass everyday of our lives. This book shows you the fascinating and varied designs and colours that you can collect, and explains how to best display, and use both old and new prices to create the most appealing look for your home. The huge variety of china and glassware featured in the first part of the book is organised by shape, colour and pattern. Every type of ceramic is explored: porcelain and earthenware, including transfer prints, hand painted patterns, interesting and unique glazes and raised and moulded designs. Glassware ranges from the cut and pressed, blasted and etched, to the commemorative or the strictly functional. The second part of the book showcases the stunning table settings for inspired informal and sophisticated dining and gives us a look at the creative ways in which well known collectors store and display their china and glass.
