Genuine Freedom

Are you free? Can you answer that question with a 'yes' or a 'no'; or is freedom really a question of degree? For example: are you exactly as free as the people you know, or are some people 'more free' than other people? How free do you have to be (50% free?; 90% free?) before you can accurately claim that you are, in summary, 'free'? With compassion, but without compromise, Engelman invites us to question the prevailing assumption that we are already (and permanently) free. He guides us on a journey; starting with our contemporary society, and progressing toward the enlightened civilisation which we have the power to create. With passion and integrity, the author relates his personal spiritual ascension from fear and isolation -- toward freedom and love in his daily experience. Our shared ascension, he argues, begins with our commitment to the truth; and thereafter, we develop new sociological paradigms based on respect and equality. Our sustained commitment to the truth guides us toward the redundancy of power-centres; and a new, advanced civilisation celebrating abundance, creativity, and genuine freedom.
