Mosaic Tile Quilts

Each stunning project is more than a quilt. A tribute to Costa Rica's historic churches, schools, and homes, which date from 1888 to 1936, quilter and author Patricia Sanabria-Friederich reinterprets the mosaic tile floors she grew up with into 9 unique quilts. You'll notice the similarities between tile artists and quilters, as both pay special attention to color combinations and lines in their dynamic patterns. With step-by-step instructions, full-color diagrams, inspirational photography, and full-size patterns, Patricia's quilting projects will stand the test of time as they honor the craftsmanship of the past!
