Northern Cardinal and Other Bird Songs

This binaural audio recording features the Northern Cardinal birdsong recorded in its natural habitat in Iowa’s Yellow River State Forest near a delicate babbling river stream together with other birds, insects, and ground creatures. Other birdsongs include: Eastern Whippoorwill, Song Sparrow, Gray Catbird and American Robin in background. The Northern Cardinal is an iconic passerine bird species. It has a unique red-colored plumage that is highly ornamental and makes it easily identifiable among other avian species. Its striking appearance, along with its conspicuous vocalizations, often make it the focus of scientific study.
