Introduction to a Course in Miracles

This booklet serves as a succinct introduction to the larger spiritual work known as A Course in Miracles. It outlines the origin and structure of the Course, explaining how it was transcribed over a period of years through “inner dictation”. The document gives readers a preview of the core message: that the greatest miracle is to recognise the presence of love in one’s life. In its body the book explores the key principles of the Course in accessible language: the distinction between the ego and the true Self, the undoing of guilt and fear, the choice of forgiveness as a path to inner healing, and the concept that what appears to limit us is in fact an opportunity for transformation. It invites the reader into an inner journey rather than a purely intellectual one. Finally, this introduction positions the Course as a self-study programme designed for personal transformation: it helps the reader decide if they are ready for the full curriculum, and what the demands and rewards of that journey might be. It is suitable for those curious about the Course’s philosophy, seeking spiritual awakening or looking for a foundation in the teachings of the New Thought / metaphysical tradition.
