The company was formed from the merger between Total Peripherals Group and SP Telemedia. Over the past 18 years, TPG has grown to more than 500,000 ADSL2+ subscribers, 192,000 mobile subscribers, 36,000 Internet telephony subscribers and 23,000 PSTN telephony subscribers, on top of building the second largest ADSL2+ network, consisting of 391 ADSL2+ DSLAMs. TPG also sells mobile phone services as a mobile virtual network operator on the Optus mobile network.
