1970 Inter Cities Fairs Cup Final

The 1970 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final was the final of the twelfth season of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. It was played on 22 April and 28 April 1970 between Anderlecht of Belgium and Arsenal of England. Arsenal won the tie 4-3 on aggregate; after trailing 3-1 in the first leg, Arsenal mounted a comeback in the second with a 3-0 victory. The twelfth Inter-Cities Fairs Cup was played over the 1969-'70 season. The competition was won by Arsenal FC over two legs in the final against Anderlecht. It was Arsenal's first over two European trophies (the second is European Cup Winners' Cup in 1993-94).
