Reading Champion 618 - Yeh and the Dragon King

This story is part of Reading Champion, a series carefully linked to book bands to encourage independent reading skills, developed with Dr Sue Bodman and Glen Franklin of UCL Institute of Education (IOE). Yeh and the Dragon King is a retelling of a Chinese traditional tale. Written and hand-illustrated by Mingmei Yip, the story beautifully and authentically recounts a fascinating story about a man who loved dragons so much, he decorated his entire house with them. One day, The Dragon King is passing and notices the stunning dragon pictures, so he decides to pay a visit... Reading Champion offers independent reading books for children to practise and reinforce their developing reading skills. Fantastic, original stories are accompanied by engaging artwork and a reading activity. Each book has been carefully graded so that it can be matched to a child's reading ability, encouraging reading for pleasure. This title is perfect for children aged 5+ or reading book band Purple.
