The Work of Living: Creating Magic-The Ghosts of Whiting Elementary

SOME PLACES NEVER STOP REMEMBERING. Jude Madrid has spent eighteen years keeping the lights on at Whiting Elementary....and talking to the dead. The ghosts are not what frighten him. They are the ones who know him best. They have watched him hide inside routine, work, and silence while three of his children carried the wounds of his absence. They know what he has been avoiding. >To face the ghosts, Jude must first face himself. He must reach out to the children he lost, listen without defending himself, and learn that reconciliation is not a grand gesture but a practice. It is one phone call, one apology, one promise kept at a time. THE GHOSTS OF WHITING ELEMENTARY is a haunting, hopeful story about redemption, family, buried history, and the courage to stay when running away would be easier. For readers drawn to emotionally rich literary fiction, supernatural stories with heart, and stories about second chances, this is a ghost story about what it means to finally be present.
