French-inspired interiors are not just about design – they conjure up an effortless way of life defined by sophistication and simplicity. It is an aesthetically fresh mix that feels at once current and familiar. Author Fifi O’Neill grew up in France and now lives in the USA. In the first half of this book, she explores the quintessential elements of French Flair, including colours, fabrics, furniture, materials and more. In the second half of the book, Fifi visits 12 homes that celebrate all things French, from the heart of New Orleans to the idyllic countryside of California. A creative couple has built a Provençal farmhouse in Montecito, an interior designer has brought rustic charm to a cottage in Texas and a French-born antiques dealer has made a light-filled home in Los Angeles. These homeowners have looked beyond the trends of today to create interiors with longevity where classic and contemporary pieces hold equal sway. The effect is ornate yet simple, layered yet uncluttered, airy yet filled with personal details. With photography by Mark Lohman, this book will inspire you to bring the timeless French Flair look into your home.
