Scrub, Gown and Glove Procedures Before you can begin to perform certain duties you must perform the surgical scrub and wear a sterile gown and gloves. Whenever you are assigned to scrub for more than one case, you must remove your gown and gloves using special techniques devised to keep you from touching the contaminated side of the gown and gloves.
