The Elephant's Heart

Gentry Steele just wanted to get his life back. Maybe a lawsuit could do it—but lawsuits were expensive as hell. How could he get the cash? His friend, Jake MacKenzie, tried to talk some sense into him, but Steele was soon on the plane to the opposite side of the earth, old Siam, now Thailand, to recover a stolen sacred artifact. He hoped to pay for the lawsuit with reward money, but before he knew it, he was neck-deep in crocodiles, bandits, government corruption, treacherous allies, and the Cambodian jungle.Steele had few chances of survival, but he did have the .50 caliber IMI Desert Eagle, an exotic woman whose skill with a motorcycle was superseded only by her intellect and courage, and Jake. Even so, events threatened to take him and his friends under.
