The Day the Dam Burst

Born in Mexico and raised in a strict old-colony Mennonite family after immigrating to Canada, Peter Enns spent his life striving to be the man his faith and community expected him to be. Over the years, he moved from old colony to evangelical and pentecostal circles, always searching for truth, belonging, and peace. But behind the faithful image was a truth he could not speak. The Day the Dam Burst is the deeply personal and ultimately hopeful story of a man who, after sixty-five years of silence, found the courage to live honestly and love without fear. Through faith and doubt, shame and grace, Peter's journey reveals how authenticity can heal what repression once broke—and how it's never too late to be free.
