Here We Belong- Ellie Finds Her Way

Ellie Brooks knows how to find her way. She notices curves in creeks, leaning trees, squeaky fountains, and the landmarks other people pass by. But on her first Welcome Trail at Global Grove Academy, crowded lines of print make the clues hard to follow.Instead of pretending everything is fine, Ellie speaks up. She chooses audio, pictures, clearer spacing, and the time she needs. Then her talent for mapmaking helps her team find routes that work for everyone, including Nova and her wheelchair.Ellie Finds Her Way is a warm, encouraging picture book about dyslexia, self-advocacy, friendship, and accessible learning. It reminds children that needing another way does not mean they are lost, and that access works best when everyone helps build it.The book includes a note for grown ups and discussion questions for families, classrooms, libraries, counseling programs, and disability inclusion settings.
