VII6 Ordinis septimi tomus sextus Volume 7 part 6 Opera Omnia Desiderii Erasmi Erasmus, Opera Omnia

This is volume seven (part six) of the complete works of Erasmus. Like the other volumes, it contains an historical introduction and is accompanied by two sets of notes - an apparatus criticus and a commentary, in which Erasmus's sources are identified and references to people and events explained. This volume of Erasmus' Opera omnia contains Erasmus' paraphrases on Hebrews - 3 John. In this genre, Erasmus retells and interprets these New Testament books. The volume presents a critical edition of the Latin text, accompanied by an introduction in English and a commentary, including an identification of sources quoted, and, where relevant, any linguistic, philological, theological or historical background information necessary to understand the Latin text.
