Good News for Little Hearts- Tomas Looks Up and Out

A warm, beautifully illustrated story that helps young children grow in empathy, teaching them to look beyond themselves, consider others with kindness, and see how God cares for them and calls them to care for others. Tomas Looks Up and Out is a warm, beautifully illustrated story that helps young children learn empathy by looking to God and learning to consider others. Tomas Turtle begins his day focused on himself—annoyed by his sister’s cough and eager to brag about his own accomplishments. But when he gets sick and experiences the kindness of his friends firsthand, Tomas begins to see his need to look beyond himself. Through his story, children are gently shown that God cares for us and teaches us to care for others too. Edited by counselor Alasdair Groves, Tomas Looks Up and Out is part of the Good News for Little Hearts series, which brings gospel wisdom and biblical counsel to families through relatable animal stories. Rooted in CCEF’s model of hope and help, this book also includes a special parent section for conversations about empathy and considering others, making it a helpful resource for families addressing everyday heart issues with biblical truth.
