Kogetsu Japanese Tales- Issun-bōshi

No taller than a fingertip, Issun-bōshi was born to a kind old couple who had prayed for a child of any size. Though small, he grew up clever, cheerful, and braver than anyone many times bigger than him. When he sets off alone down the river to seek his fortune in the great capital, Issun-bōshi discovers a world far bigger than himself - towering gates, bustling crowds, and a kind princess who becomes his dearest friend. But when a fearsome demon threatens the one he cares for most, Issun-bōshi must prove that courage has nothing to do with size. Armed with nothing but a sewing needle and an unshakable heart, he faces a danger far larger than himself. This beautifully illustrated bilingual retelling of the beloved Japanese folktale brings Issun-bōshi's timeless story of courage and heart to readers ages 7-12, in both English and Japanese.
