Anthology 21 - Europe - Austria - Tyrol

Europe as a union, Austria as a nation, and thus Tyrol as a region are currently going through a difficult phase. This presents a pedagogical challenge for political education: to examine aspects of European development at the macro, meso, and micro levels. The study is based on the author's completion of the university course in Political Education, his engagement with specialized literature focusing on Political Education, and his participation in the "Basic Knowledge of Political Education" course in adult education. The study is divided into two parts: Part I addresses the issues of Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic and its implications, the Green Deal, and the future of Europe; Part II focuses on Europe as a learning environment for imparting basic knowledge to the target group of young people and their accompanying adults. The sections on Austria and Tyrol build upon this foundational knowledge and complement the study.
