DPL Halloween Horror Anthologies- Fearful Symmetries

The Dionysian Public Library presents the third in our series of annual Halloween horror collections, Fearful Symmetries: An Anthology of Psychedelic Horror. Coined by researcher Humphry Osmond in 1957, the term came from the Greek psyche, meaning mind, and deloun, meaning to manifest, and was used to describe the state of altered consciousness encountered under the influence of certain entheogenic drugs. In the time since, the meaning has broadened to encompass any experience which pushes the mind to the limits of perception and an aesthetic associated with fluid or altered representations of reality. ¿In this collection, sixteen creators present seventeen shattered visions. Gleeful goblins, houses that breathe, and televisions that bleed bad dreams are just a few of the wonders waiting within. Open the doors to perception and step inside-what are you afraid of? Featuring the work of G. W. McClary, Sandor Paulson, Raymond Brunell, Zazie Productions, Mave Goren, Sirius, James Arthur, Kevin Novalina, Sali Andiamo Siyaya, Ryan Danley, E B. Ratcliffe, Stephen McQuiggan, Ted Morrissey, Raining Rivers, Lucien R. Starchild, and Adam Parker.
