Ezra Collective - Here Because Of Hope (CD)

Here Because Of Hope is a 2026 jazz album by British ensemble Ezra Collective, presented here as an LP on coloured vinyl. Blending jazz with Afrobeat, Caribbean rhythms, and contemporary UK influences, the record is conceived as a journey through Black musical heritage and identity, moving sonically and spiritually from Africa through the Caribbean to the streets of London. The band use their trademark interplay and improvisation to create a vivid, narrative-driven sound that feels both deeply rooted in tradition and sharply attuned to modern club, soul and garage sensibilities.Across its three conceptual movements, the album explores themes of community, resilience and hope, making it one of Ezra Collective’s most ambitious and personal works to date. Rich horn arrangements, supple rhythm section work and expressive keyboard textures give the music a warm, expansive feel, while the coloured vinyl LP format underlines its appeal to collectors and listeners who value tactile, immersive listening experiences. As a 2026 release, Here Because Of Hope stands as a significant statement in contemporary jazz, showing how the genre can embrace global influences while remaining emotionally direct and accessible.
