Only me." -- Nashira pierced her own flesh with the white, square nail of her thumb, drawing a line of red across her cleavage. The moment Nashira's blood appeared, Alice felt something in her stir. It was the deepest hunger she had ever known, deeper than arousal, sharper, and more maddening. She could hear her own heart thrumming in her ears, louder and louder, and Nashira's voice seemed distant as she gently coaxed, "Drink."
