Uechiryu Karatedo Young Student's Guide- UechiRyu KarateDo

This book introduces young readers to the world Uechi Kanbun entered when he arrived in Fujian, China between 1897 and 1910. Far from home and unable to speak the language, he had to learn how to live and grow within a society very different from Okinawa. Through simple explanations and clear storytelling, this book helps youth students understand the daily life, customs, and cultural values that shaped Kanbun during his early years in China. By showing how Kanbun's experiences in China shaped his character and later influenced the students who learned from him, this book offers young practitioners a clearer sense of the roots of UechiRyu. It is written for youth students, but provides adults and instructors with a reliable and culturally grounded introduction to the environment that formed one of Okinawa's most important karate masters.
