In 2002, he received his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e, The Netherlands) with the distinction 'cum laude'. From 2003 until 2007, he performed part-time PhD research at the same university, resulting in his 2007 thesis 'Power Quality, Implications at the Point of Connection'. In 2009, he founded the company CO-Education, providing knowledge services and education in the field of electrical engineering, in particular regarding power quality, smart grids, and the sustainability of the electricity supply.
