This rotary chisel with the standard designation SER1616H16 has a shaft of 16 x 16 mm and a total length of 100 mm. The cutting plate is made of sintered carbide metal. The high temperature resistance of carbide allows higher cutting speeds in contrast to HSS chisels. In addition, this plate is coated with titanium nitride, which contributes to higher heat resistance and service life. TiN-coated cutting plates are intended for universal use. This means that soft materials can be worked just like hard materials. For special applications, this carbide insert can be replaced with another cutting plate suitable for the material to be machined. These special inserts can be found in our assortment.
