He has the distinction of being the first visually impaired person to figure in the merit list of the Faculty of Arts, along with earning an M.A. with thirteen gold medals, Ph.D. in two subjects, and the honor of being India’s first visually impaired psychologist. He is the creator of more than 600 ghazals and songs in Sindhi, Hindi, and English. Asudani has been honored with the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award for his outstanding Sindhi ghazal collection, along with the Nagpur Ratna and several national and international awards.
