Its Not My Real Name!'- 'It's not my real name!' Barked the Doggies

'It's not my real name!' Barked the Doggies - A charming story for children and adults alike who have a family pet, or simply love animals.Inspired by one magical childhood moment, 'It's not my real name!' Barked the Doggies is the first book in the delightful 'It's not my real name!' series. What if the name we give our pets isn't their real name at all? When Lewis was very small, he looked at our much-loved Westie, Bobby, and confidently announced that his real name was "Dye Dites Apan" - we never discovered where that curious name came from, and perhaps we never will. But it sparked a wonderful question: do pets have secret names that only they know? Names that suit their personalities, their mischief, their courage, or the special place they hold in our hearts?Filled with warmth, humour, and beautifully detailed illustrations, 'It's not my real name!' Barked the Doggies celebrates imagination, family, and the unique bond between children and their pets. Young readers will delight in discovering the dogs' "real" names and imagining what their own pets might secretly be called. At the back of the book, children are invited to draw their own pet and guess its proper name, encouraging creativity, storytelling, and imaginative play long after the final page has been turned.Perfect for animal lovers, curious minds, and children aged 3-10, as well as the adults who love to laugh, imagine, and dream alongside them.
