Jeff Koons

Jeff Koons (born 1955) has created a unique visual universe, as accessible as it is esoteric, as innocent as it is erotic, as historic as it is here and now. In the process, he has become a giant of contemporary visual culture, lauded by collectors, institutions, and the public alike. After the sell-out Collector's Edition monograph, this trade edition brings the same overview of Koons's unique oeuvre, just with a smaller format and softer price tag. Basketballs in tanks! Stainless-steel blow-ups! Topiary dog sculptures! The sinister sculpture of Michael Jackson and Bubbles. It's all here, testament to a key tastemaker and tasteshifter of our time, who has imbued the trivial with import and a breadth and rigor rivaling Warhol. The book includes a biographical essay, an analysis of Koons from a European perspective, and a scholarly study of his work. This is a sumptuous objet d'art and the definitive overview of Koons's work.
