Over dit product

Colour photographs 1980-1989 The first book published after Mapplethorpe's death might have come as a surprise: it presented flowers, all in color. Yet, among his "vintage" motifes - nudes, portraits, black people, New York homosexuals - flowers always had their place illustrating the artist's overall theme: sexuality stylized to still live. Losing their sweet innocence, Mapplethorpe's flowers reveal a perfidous, sometimes decadent eloquence.
