Hawaiian Quilt Inspirations

Over The years, Patricia Lei Murray has been a practioner of almost all Hawaiian art forms including hula, feaTherwork, lauhala weaving, and koa woodwork. But her passion is quilting, both traditional and contemporary. An award-winning quilter, her work portraying The beauty of Hawai'i has been featured in quilt publications such as The Contemporary Hawaiian Quilt Book, and Hawaiian Quilts: Tradition and Transition. She also exhibited a one woman show at The prestigious La Conner Quilt Museum in Washington. Hawaiian Quilt Inspirations: A Journal of Life is a collection of unique quilts and The stories that inspired Their creation. It is a book to treasure and to share. In it she reveals a golden thread that binds Hawaiian thinking and values for living. She honors The early quilters who created quilts not only for warmth and art, but for The joy of simply giving them away.
