Chameleon

Chameleon follows three young Australians who leave their small Victorian town in 1990 to backpack through Southeast Asia, searching for freedom, adventure and a life beyond home. But their carefree journey takes a darker turn when they become entangled with a dangerous criminal network and a mysterious Dutchman travelling under false identities. As the friends move through Bali, Indonesia and beyond, friendship, loyalty and trust are tested as the line between backpacker adventure and real danger begins to disappear. Decades later, the past resurfaces when one of them is drawn back into the mystery surrounding the people they met and the secrets they left behind. Chameleon is a fast-moving crime thriller about friendship, travel, betrayal and the long shadow of choices made when you are young.
