Bacon Bits

Bacon Bits: Poems and Notes is a raw, introspective collection of poetry by Donald Marriott, composed in the wake of a life-changing stroke. The work is divided into two parts ‘Bacon’ and ‘Bits’-and reflects a spontaneous prose style reminiscent of Jack Kerouac, while drawing inspiration from Pete Townshend’s inclusive, emotive writing and Bob Dylan’s lyrical storytelling. Themes include anxiety, love, gratitude, memory, and the passage of time. The collection is intended to connect deeply with readers who crave authenticity and emotional resonance.
