The Kings 5 - Death Will Have His Day

In a broken nation, one man must choose between duty and family. The United States is on the brink. A string of hastily appointed Presidents has left the federal government in shambles. A deadly viral outbreak has turned gruesome as its victims descend into unpredictable, violent psychosis. As cities collapse and survivors fend for themselves, a ruthless, charismatic leader from Mexico seizes the moment—marching north with ambitions to claim America as his own. At the center is Henry Bolingbroke, a seasoned Secret Service agent who splits his intense loyalty between the White House and his own house. When the Secretary of Education takes the oath as President, Henry must protect a fragile new administration—while his wife and twelve-year-old son remain in harm's way. When the invader's brutal army descends on Washington, Henry faces an impossible decision: abandon his post to save his family or stand his ground for a President who doesn't know what she's doing. Either way, the cost will change the course of his life—and the nation's. A taut action thriller, Death Will Have His Day is a near-future reimagining of Shakespeare's King John and Richard II.
