Urban Animals - Hello, Madame Rat

Have you ever met a rat who didn’t behave like a rat at all? When an extraordinarily well-dressed rat appears in Ma’s home, expectations are quickly turned upside down. Madame Rat is unfazed by cats, unimpressed by traps, and far more interested in fashion, breakfast, and maintaining her dignity than in behaving as she should. Told in soothing, rhythmic verse and illustrated in a deliberately absurd mix of styles and eras, Hello, Madame Rat is a hilarious social satire that delights in the unexpected. Children will laugh at the antics and exaggerated illustrations, while adults will appreciate the wit beneath the surface — making it a cozy bedtime story with an offbeat sense of humour. For readers ages 4–8, and for adults who enjoy gentle absurdity and a knowing smile before sleep. Part of the Urban Animals series.
