Friends of the Day and Night- Pip's Night Rainbow

In their latest adventure, Pip the bat begins to feel sad and left out. After hearing his friend Humm the hummingbird describe the dazzling daytime world filled with brilliant reds, yellows, and blues, Pip's own nighttime world of silver and shadow starts to feel plain and gray in comparison. He wishes, more than anything, that he could see a rainbow. His friends, Humm and Luna the moth, see his sadness and devise a gentle and clever plan. Realizing that describing colors isn't enough, they decide to take Pip on a "night-color tour" to help him experience his world in a new way. Together, they explore the garden, translating colors into sensations Pip can understand: the "cool, calm white" of a moonflower's velvety texture and sweet scent, the "warm red" of a spicy night-stock's perfume, and the "soft green" of cool moss under his feet.
