Secrets of Dragon Mountain 1 - An Altogether-Curious Altercation

Karana and her fiancés journey to Dragon Mountain to confront whomever is kidnapping young people from around the Realm… as well as what they know about themselves as they face the question of what they will risk to preserve their love. *** Soul-bonds… were things that happened to other people. At least, they seemed to happen to people who needed something in their lives: power, wealth, safety, family… agency. They didn't happen to a young woman like Karana. One who knew what she was doing, where she was going, and had the wherewithal - family support, material wealth, and personal ability - to get there. But Karana, first Knightess of the Realm in a century, has found her fated mates - both of them - in a pair of dragon-crazy young knights. Unfortunately, their first major mission together is going to involve hunting down the mythical beasts. If you like sweeping, spicy Epic Romantasy where love triangles don't have to fall apart (but no one's sure) and heroines who think fated mates are likely to cramp their style - and dragons - then you have to read this book now! *** Her ring - the Queen's Ring of Taridawil that Kefen had given her for their engagement - twitched*. Distractedly, she rubbed at it with her other hand.* And it bit her. Alarmed, Karana held up her hand in time to see the tiny golden dragon take flight, followed by a similar silver one. Kefen's arm slid around her. "You see it, too?" she asked faintly. He nodded. Ivan, seated on the other side, exclaimed as the tiny golden dragon flew around his side of the mountain, and scrambled to his feet. "Karana! Is that what I think it is?" "My ring," she confirmed. "The Queen's Ring," Kefen murmured. "It was said to have magick woven into its making. Though I never heard that it ever did anything magickal."
