God Versus Gods

WHO REALLY HOLDS THE THRONE? "God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods." (Psalm 82:1) Psalm 82 opens with a courtroom scene unlike any other in Scripture. The Most High takes His place in the divine assembly, and the gods stand in the dock. Who are these gods, why are they judged, and what does the verdict mean for you? In God Versus Gods, Bishop Osei Tweneboah Koduah walks through the psalm with care and conviction. He weighs the main readings fairly and shows how every claimed authority, whether spiritual, political, or religious, is borrowed and accountable. Only God is sovereign in Himself. Inside you will discover: • What the Hebrew word elohim means and how Scripture uses it • How the gods of the nations operate, and why their help carries a price • How Jesus answered His accusers with Psalm 82 in John 10 and revealed the unique Son • How to test claims of spiritual help and live without superstition or fear For pastors, students of Scripture, and every believer ready to turn from fascination with lesser powers to the supreme authority of the Most High.
