The City Beneath the Moonsea

Mara, a young woman living in a mysterious harbor, discovers that the legendary drowned city of Lumeris has risen from the depths after an ancient underwater bell begins ringing and ships mysteriously disappear. Drawn along a magical silver path across the sea, Mara meets Queen Nerissa, who reveals that Mara has returned to Lumeris from a previous life and is the only person capable of opening the city's palace. As Mara enters the magnificent submerged kingdom, she learns that Lumeris did not rise simply to be discovered-it was forced upward because an ancient and terrifying entity beneath the city has awakened and is trying to escape. With the city shaking, the queen desperate, and Mara's forgotten memories beginning to return, she must uncover her connection to Lumeris, unlock the secrets of her past, and help the doomed city confront the monstrous force threatening to destroy it and possibly unleash its darkness upon the world above.
