She-Devils of Makai

"What is wrong with this city? If it's not wicked sorcerers, it's greedy necromancers. And if it's not either of those, it's ruinous cults or demons lurking in ancient ruins." "At least the food is good." Makai. City of Shadows. City of Nightmares. City of Demons. A city crumbling under the weight of its own history, and where forgotten relics of an unfathomable past linger just below the streets. And a city where everyone, from the dirtiest pauper to the fattest merchant-prince, has a problem that can only be solved with violence. Min and Kei are two lovers, warrior-women trained for battle and with their own areas of scholarly expertise. They are also problem-solvers, martial artists living Makai that get paid to look into problems both mundane and supernatural. And solve them with the language of unarmed combat. She-Devils of Makai is a short story collection that takes inspiration from wuxia, dark fantasy, and old pulp sword & sorcery.
