The Draconyma Cycle 3 - Ephemeris

A Broken World Far from Earth, thousands of years after mankind's desperate diaspora, humanity’s children have built an egalitarian utopia, a home among the stars. But the atavisic vices that drove humanity to ruin—greed, lust for power, the need to control—still lurk in the depths of the soul, leading down the path of exploitation, slavery and war . . . and to stand against them is to challenge the very principles of social order that form the basis of civilization. An Unlikely Hero A young hacker from a low-tech world finds himself front and center on the galactic stage when he joins a band of mercenaries to flee the crimes of his past. Can he find expiation for his tragic mistakes, or will guilt and panic drive him to his destruction . . . and doom those he could have saved? A Species in Crisis The Elech are a proud draconic race with an ancient history preserved through genetic memory—and they vividly recall their betrayal at the hands of the children of man . . . and the genocide they barely survived. Can a former slave of their persecutors be the bridge that helps them trust anew, or are they doomed to slow decline and eventual extinction?
