Adrien Dalpayrat, 1844-1910

This is the first monograph to survey the oeuvre of the Dalpayrat family of artisan-potters in France between 1880 and 1930, introducing exemplary works owned by the family and private collectors, most of them never before published. Comprehensive biographies and a history of the family atelier are highly informative and rich with detail. In addition, the personal data of artists and potters who worked in the 'genre Dalpayrat' provide an interesting background. A glossary of terms, an overview of the exhibitions and a list of works in museums around the world complete the monograph.
