Soso Cat 1 - Soso

As a child, Irina Alvarez dreamed of a cat that would make her feel safe. She grew up in a cramped home where money was scarce and dreams were often postponed. Years later, after building a successful life, Irina finally begins a worldwide search for the perfect cat. She travels from Texas to Moscow and Dubai, looking for beauty, rarity, and the feeling of belonging she has carried since childhood. But she finds Soso not in a luxury cattery, but near a trash-strewn alley in Las Vegas—a fragile gray kitten protected by a starving mother. Irina brings Soso home and gives her everything: exquisite food, medical care, comfort, and a beautiful house. Slowly, Soso learns to trust her. For years, they live as companions, and Irina believes she has finally achieved the dream of her childhood. Then Soso smells something familiar. She returns to the alley and finds the mother and cats she left behind. What begins as a secret journey for food becomes a dangerous conflict between two worlds: the safe home Irina created and the family Soso never truly forgot. As Irina’s love turns into control, Soso’s loyalty becomes impossible to understand. A broken bond, a buried memory, and one unforgivable outburst set the story on a path toward a shocking death. SOSO is a dark psychological mystery about rescue, attachment, betrayal, memory, and the dangerous difference between loving a creature and believing it belongs to you. When the truth finally emerges, the question is not simply who caused the tragedy—but whether love can survive when freedom has been taken away.
