Namby Pamby

Namby Pamby Namby Pamby is a supernatural thriller based on an ancient rite that hopefully is no longer practised. The vengeful spirit of a child who destroys families, especially the children. Namby Pamby is the spirit of the sacrificed child, bound to the bridge and driven by a hunger no prayer can soothe. His victims are families, but his obsession is always the children. Should they survive Then he will stalk and torment any child who survives his malicious intent, destroying their protectors until he gets his prey. Namby Pamby is primarily set in the 1920s but also travels back to the 18th century through a diary. Children’s nursery rhymes often have a hidden meaning, and this one is no exception, with parts of the novel based on fact as implied in the nursery rhyme. Mankind should hang their heads in shame at a vile ancient rite that was practised worldwide, and beware of the malevolent creations they can evoke. Long before nursery rhymes softened the truth, stonemasons whispered of an ancient rite: to appease the water spirits beneath a bridge, a child must be buried alive within its foundations. Namby Pamby is not a ghost story; he’s the price of an ancient bargain.
