Good News of Mark's Year

Reflections on the Sunday gospels of Year B, Mark's Year, of the Roman Lectionary. For each Sunday, he gives the text of the gospel reading, a short introductory note that puts the reading in its liturgical or scriptural context, and he summarizes the Good News of the reading in a sentence or two. He then gives two reflections on each reading, the first normally being a commentary on the text and the second being more reflective and imaginative, relating the reading to the world of today. This series has been used not only by homilists but also by groups who come together for prayer or discussion.
